Bob Billy is een 4-mans band uit Amsterdam. Los van elkaar begonnen ze in hun tienerjaren in bandjes te spelen In garages en schuren, in de dorpen waar ze vandaan komen.
De drift om naar ‘De grote stad’ te gaan, maar nooit je dorpse roots te verliezen is wat de band een familie maakt. Ze ontdekten: technologie, artistieke vrouwen en wijn, maar verloren nooit uit het oog waarom ze muziek wilden maken: Om net zo goed en passievol te worden als de ‘bad ass motherfuckers’ als The Queens Of The Stone Age, The Peppers, Radiohead, The Beastie Boys, The Pixies… Maar ook Nick Cave, INXS, Tom Waits, The Cure en Ramses Shaffy.
Deze dorpse jongens hebben het zichzelf nooit gemakkelijk willen maken. Bob Billy is een familie waar de deur altijd open staat. En zonder twijfel kun je zeggen: Bob Billy rockt in ieder opzicht!

Bob Billy is a 4-piece PoP/Rock band based in Amsterdam. Separately they started “Kicking Against The Pricks” in their teens, in garages and barns in their hometowns.
The urge of going to ‘The Big City But Never Loose Your Roots’ is what makes the band a family. They discovered: technology, artistic females and wine, but never forgot why they wanted to make music: To become as good and passionate as all them bad ass motherfuckers like The Queens Of The Stone Age, The Peppers, Radiohead, The Beastie Boys, The Pixies… Yes, but also Nick Cave, INXS, Tom Waits, The Cure and Ramses Shaffy.
These Village Boys were never to be meant easy. Bob Billy is a Township Family. And without a doubt you could say; Bob Billy rocks in every way!
